Motorola isn't satisfied to be a Windows "slave" with her Motorola Q PDA phone that is powered by Windows Mobile. In fact, Motorola is entering Linux PDA market by secretly planning to release the Motorola E690 cellular phone which is powered by Linux operating system. The Motorola E690 PDA phone supports both touch-screen and screen writing technology which BlackBerry devices can't provide.
The Motorola E690 PDA phone comes equipped with a big 262K QVGA TFT bright and clear screen. Other features of this Motorola PDA includes a 2.0-MP digital camera with flash that snap photo up to 1200 x 1600 resolutions and support video recording and conferencing.
The Motorola E690 PDA phone isn't just excellent in office functionalities, but also wonderful in multimedia features. In fact, this Motorola E690 PDA phone has two MFT speakers that output 3D surrounds sound when you play your favorite sound tracks using this powerful gadget. Another good thing about this PDA is you don't have to worry about the file format of your digital songs as the Motorola E690 supports MP3, WMA, RealAudio, MIDI, WAV, AAC, AMR file formats as well as RealVideo, MPEG-4, H.263 video formats.

In addition, the Motorola E690 cellular phone supports WAP, full internet browsing, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word viewing, Mini USB1.1 connection, Bluetooth and built-in voice dial system.

With all these cool features compacted into one device, the Motorola E690 still built slim and tiny. Although there is no information about the release date of this Motorola E690 PDA phone, RIM should start to be worry about this strong competitor for her BlackBerry devices.

HTLounge.net soupçonne Motorola de vouloir donner à son bon vieux SLVR L7 des airs d'iPhone. Et côté logiciel, le couple Java/Linux peut semble-t-il aisément remplacer le Windows Mobile de son Moto Q, très populaire aux Etats-Unis.

C'est visiblement vers le couple Java et GNU/Linux que Motorola semble se tourner pour l'E690, PDAPhone qui reprend les lignes fines de sa gamme SLVR. Doté d'un écran tactile QVGA 262k couleurs, il semble garni d'un système de reconnaissance d'écriture au stylet, de quelque boutons "appels, messages" de type iPhone. Parmi les détails non encore confirmés et soupçonnés par HTLounge, une connectique mini-USB, un lecteur musical, une caméra 2 Mpx et le Bluetooth.
